For CMS content items, the date_created and last_updated are always the same, since a new version of the content item is created when a change is made. Should the date_created be carried forward from the original creation date?

a better example is what you can find on flickr, see attachment or browse to flickr. widgets work like this:

  • any item that has a single default choice has no downward arrow to right
  • those with options have arrow
  • hovering over main item causes mouseover, nothing else
  • hovering over downward arrow highlights arrow in bold colour
  • clicking on bold coloured arrow drops down a menu of options

We need this for content language and status. problem is that neither one has a default choice. a best example would be the link for content edit, mouse over this and then get options to edit in different languages. probably flags and content edit columns could be combined for this.
